2012 Reflection

What I enjoyed this year was Time table testing because at the beginning of the year I used to get 100 but my time was'nt good enough. Then as we went through the year my time got better and better then I got my best time and it was 3:25secs.  Then I moved onto  division and it felt easy to me and that was because it was 50 equasions and the one that I was doing was 100 equasions. So Mr M gave me a 100 division sheet. And on my first go I got 85 but then I kept on getting 100 after woods. My other highlight at school this year was I met a new friend and his name was Miko. I forgot how I met him but all I know is hes my best friend. I'm really going to miss Vardon school and room15 but I hope I'll feel good at Hamilton Junior High.

If the world was shurnk to 100 people

What I did for this project was I made a pie graph for what continents people live in. Then we had to colour the graph in 5 colours and each colour represented a continent and as you can see Asia is the largest continent.

Adding detail

This is a boring sentence I changed into an exciting sentence। This is the boring sentence I ate breakfast। This is the sentence I added detail to.
I slowly leaped out of my bed and came into the kitchen। I poured milk into a bowl and put it in to the microwave। Then I took two wheatbixs from the pantry and put it in the bowl and put some sugar and ate it for breakfast.

Kaleidoscope

When I started cutting I had to cut right on the white bits so then when I glue it on it wont show white strips. after I cutted all the pictures some pictures were reflected. first I glued the left side picture then the right side one then I did the same at the bottom but just turned it down. I thought my was pretty cool ecpecialy when there was hardly any white strips. It was a challenge glueing it.

Discovery Speech

My speech topic was on the Egyptian pyramids.

I chose this topic because I wanted to learn more about pyramids than any other subject. I wanted to know if the ghost really made the pyramids. Before my speech I felt really really nervous but when I got started I felt a bit better but there was some hard words that I could not pronounce so that made me a bit nervous but it was a little bit fun afterwards. After my speech I felt relieved and felt good that it was done. I am really proud of myself because I think I did really good. next time I am going to have allot more expression and eye contact.

War reflection

Some of the things I learnt are the Anzac soldiers used to get tight as shoes so there feet got damaged and they used to get a little amount of food. The Things that I found interesting they used to have no showers and they couldn't even have a nice hot shower and in world war1 20million people died and in world war 2 55 million died. We remember people who fought in war because they risked there lives for us so we can have peace.I used to think war was easy but now I think it is hard and risky.I want to find out more about Hitler and why he killed 6 million people.

Did you know that if you wanted to make a long stop motion it would take about 60,000 photos or more? If you want to make a short stop motion don’t worry it will only take 250 photos or less.
A stop motion is when you make a video with digital photos but not just any digital photos.
Moving on to the things you will need: Tripod, digital camera, and video editing software on your computer like video spin, imovie or windows movie maker.
First you set a plan of what you’re going to do then get your gear. Put your digital camera on the tripod. This is an example of what you could do. Tell someone to go out on the field and tell them to stand by the camera and what you have to do is stand on the field like a soldier and take 1 step then the person by the camera has to take a photo and take another step and the cameraman has to take a photo and keep on doing that about ten times. Then what you have to do is take your camera to your computer and plug your camera USB plug into the USB part on your computer then get your photos and put in video editing software like video spin, windows movie maker, imovie. Open one of those and it should say browse images then choose the photos you took and select them and click play and see how it goes if you don’t like it make it shorter or longer and add some sound affects. enjoy making your stop motion.

Stop motion Animation

As a class room15 made a stop motion. We used a digital camera and a tripod so the photos we would take would be still we took a photo every time we took a step
and then it looked like we were slipping throw the grass.I have learnt that stop motion is a really creative thing. What I have felt about this topic is it is really cool the hard part was that you have to take heaps of photos the easy part is that after you took the photos you just put them in video spin and enjoy and watch.

Introducing ME

Hi, my name is Azhar. I am year 6. One place I love to go is Fiji and Auckland. Some things I love is technology, art and xbox -360 kinect. This is a collage portrait of me. To make this I had to cut out pictures from magazines and paste it on my t-shirt and fill in the blank spots with ripped blue paper. Then I had to rip some wallpaper and glue it in the background.
